I Feel Myself in Bloom - Copyright Jordan Awan

Jordan says, “Jordan Awan is a cool guy and an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. This nice guy has a BFA from Pratt Institute, wow! Also, he’s rad.”

With so few words but such an impact, hell, I am willing to say that Jordan is a nice, rad guy as well. Link

Thunder Panda Website

Call me silly or strange but after stumbling upon Thunder Panda I have seem to have found a home to art dorks like me who celebrate in the idea of creating things from hand. Take for instance the Zombie Papercraft dolls that you can download and print. These crafts have been all drawn by hand and to me seem to be quite cute! I know my son will enjoy making these creepy but yet cool projects and I hope you will as well. Link

The Art of Michael Mararian

September 27th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Drawing, Media Modification

Portrait of the Artist - Copyright Michael Mararian

Michael Mararian possesses a poetic propensity for taking traditionally cheerful images and concepts and turning them into frightening, yet humorous, tableaus. Focusing on children as the last bastion of innocence, Mararian draws on a diverse range of influences to deliver the peculiar ink work he aptly calls, M. Mararian’s Inky Dreadfuls. In this world our fondest visions of childhood’s naiveté are darkly rearranged to uncover lost innocence and the fear of our modern times. Link

Indian Horse Chestnut - Copyright Roberto Osti

Scientific American says, “Osti, who now teaches scientific illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and at the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies at Drew University in Madison, N.J., began illustrating for Scientific American in 1993. His highly detailed and wonderfully composed paintings delighted both readers and authors, many of whom wondered over the years if the originals were for sale. His work has been exhibited in Bologna, Milan, New York City and Philadelphia.” Link
