Adam Stennet, who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, is an accomplished artist who dabbles in not just painting but also video, screenprint, installations and much more. His fascination with rodents, such as mice and humans, is quite quirky but somehow it works. Link

Nataly says, “Nataly Dawn started off in L.A., moved to France at the age of ten, spent a few years in Belgium and then scurried on back to California to persue an “education” in “art” and “French Literature.”

She makes music as often as possible, to keep herself sane and happy. She dabbles around with piano, guitar and bass (her favorite instrument), but does not consider herself an expert at any of them. Mostly she enjoys singing and inventing odd harmonies.

Recently she has gotten into the youtube music movement thanks to her boyfriend, jack conte (myspace.com/jackconte, youtube.com/jackcontemusic), and together they have started a collaboration called pomplamoose (myspace.com/pomplamoosemusic, youtube.com/pomplamoosemusic). nataly is still in denial about wanting to be a full-time musician, but deep down inside she knows that there is nothing that makes her happier than making art and sharing it with lovely listeners such as yourself. ” Link

Since 1995, Cloud Cult have crafted sprawling, cathartic albums that have won them the attention of the New York Times, MTV, Spin, Billboard, and a devoted following of fans.

Despite offers from major labels, Cloud Cult has chosen to remain independent, recording and releasing their albums through Earthology Records, a not-for-profit environmental record label established by Minowa in 1998. On a self-funded shoe-string budget they have achieved top 20 CMJ radio charting for all of their last three albums, a domain usually reserved for the SubPops and Merges of the world.

As one of the pioneering “Green bands” of the modern indie-rock world, Cloud Cult has backed up their open-hearted songs with green action for over a decade. Link

The Music of The Black Keys

The Akron, Ohio-based duo The Black Keys is well known for its concentrated, hermetic approach to recording, hunkering down with rudimentary equipment in an unfinished basement or commandeering the floor of a vacant local rubber factory to create terse but soulful rock that seems to have time-traveled into the pair’s amps from some long-ago radio show. But guitarist-vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney now admit they were ready for a change of scene-as well as some company. So when they got the opportunity to work with Grammy Award-nominated producer-musician-provocateur Danger Mouse, a/k/a Brian Burton (Gnarls Barkley, Gorillaz, The Grey Album), they agreed, for the first time, to leave their familiar environs. They weren’t quite willing to cross state lines yet, though. Link
