Wikipedia says about the two, “Glen Hansard (born 21 April 1970 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Academy-Award winning songwriter and vocalist/guitarist for Irish rock group The Frames. Markéta Irglová (born February 28, 1988, in Valašské Meziříčí, Czech Republic) is an Academy Award-winning songwriter, musician, actress and singer. As of 2008, she resides in Dublin.
Mark Powell describes his sculptures as “Beyond the Gate”. Now I am not sure as to what gate he may be referring to but it’s a gate that I would love to go behind to see what goes on. The sculptures may seem gory at first but to me they are beautiful and precise. Link

Born and raised on a family farm, trained as a painter at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and now a self-taught sculptor/ three dimensional illustrator, Chris has followed the Frankenstein mentality to breathe life into the characters that inhabit his world. Working with a multitude of materials he creates 3-Dimensional environments and characters, then photographs that world.
